SDU 404 Safety Shutdown Unit
The SDU 404 joins its larger SDU 420 to provide the independent shutdown capability required by Classification societies. Certified by DNV (pending), this 4 channel unit provides the key functionality and cost-effective price to align to smaller engines requiring this level of global compliance. Cyber Security certified.
The SDU 404 is equipped with local fault and channel status indications, local acknowledge, reset and overspeed test mode required by classification society rules during local survey and commissioning.
Designed to be used with either the 200 Series or the 400 Series DCUs, this unit is automatically configured from the DCU, just requiring a twisted pair “SDU Link” between each component. “Plug and play” installation provides valuable cost and resource reductions with no programming and no configuring.
